Become a middle school teacher, even if your bachelor’s isn’t in education
The need for qualified teachers in Georgia and across the country continues to grow, especially during the crucial middle school years (grades 6–8). Brenau’s 100% online Master of Arts in Teaching in Middle Grades Education empowers you to meet this need as you train to become a state-certified middle school teacher.
Our FREE program guide puts everything you need to know in one place.
To enroll in this program, you must have earned a bachelor’s degree in any subject from a regionally accredited university. Regardless of the bachelor’s degree you hold, you will choose two of the following concentrations during your Brenau studies:
Note: Because of course overlap, students may not choose both Language Arts and Reading.
M.A.T. heavily focuses on classroom teaching, and is best for those who already have a bachelor’s and want to become a teacher in grades 6–8.
This program prepares bachelor’s holders to become certified teachers at both the middle school and high school level (grades 6–12).
M.Ed. programs are best for current teachers who seek promotion to administrative positions, such as a principal or curriculum developer.
Just like you will do for your future students, Brenau offers you easy access to quality education so you can realize your career goals. Resources like our professional tutoring program, academic coaching and writing center help online students succeed.
