Degree and minimum GPAApplicants must have one of the following:
  • Associate degree from a regionally accredited school (or foreign equivalent)
  • Completion of liberal education coursework as outlined in the Brenau Undergraduate Catalog
Recommended cumulative GPA 3.0 or greater. If you’ve earned a graduate degree, your graduate coursework GPA will be considered.
Recommended science GPA 3.0 or greater.
TranscriptsOfficial transcripts are needed. An official transcript review will be performed.
Degrees from schools outside of the U.S. must be evaluated by a NACES accredited transcript review agency.
Transfer creditsIf you have completed 60 transferable credits or more, you may meet the minimum education requirement to enroll.
Official test score(s)Students must achieve a minimum score of 75% on the Admission Exam (HESI) to be eligible for the Accelerated Transfer BSN program.
All prerequisite coursework must be completed prior to starting the program.
Additional requirementsApplicants must possess attributes and experiences that indicate initiative, commitment, caring, and a strong interest in improving health for patients, families and communities.
Applicants must pass a satisfactory background check and drug screen.

If you have a bachelor’s degree in another field, this graduate program will prepare you to become a skilled RN ready to lead in nursing.

ABSN

Students with an associate or bachelor’s degree in another field can take an accelerated path to a nursing career. If you have earned 60 transferable hours or an associate or bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing field, transfer to Brenau to continue to an RN role.
