Transferring to Brenau University

We want to make the transition to Brenau as simple as possible. To transfer to Brenau, you must be in good standing with your current or former institutions and have a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. Some programs require a higher GPA.

We offer a generous transfer credit policy. Undergraduate students are able to transfer up to 90 credit hours into their programs. If you’re enrolling in your first graduate degree with Brenau, up to six credit hours taken at another regionally accredited college or university may be transferred to Brenau as part of the planned program of study with the approval of the department chair. If you have a previous master’s degree, up to nine hours of graduate credit may transfer with departmental approval. Grading standards of the Brenau program into which the work is transferred will apply.

If you attended a non-regionally accredited institution of higher education, you could request your courses be evaluated for transfer credit. Credit will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis, and you’ll be expected to provide course descriptions and syllabi to assist in evaluating the courses.
